For me, fitness is something I have taken a really low key approach to. I do it because I enjoy it, but not to push myself or lose weight. Wellness has become the leading force in my life, with a new focus on mental and physical wellbeing. That is what is important.
A couple of months ago I was diagnosed with two bulging discs, so I stick to low impact walking or pilates, with lot's of stretching mixed in. I also dedicate at least twenty minutes every morning to meditation and positive affirmations. If that makes me uncool then so be it! At this point in my life, I want to be the kindest, happiest, healthiest human being that I can possibly be. Yes, I still like beautiful things, but that is absolutely not a focus. My money is spent maintaining a healthy body and mind, so I can try and enjoy the best quality of life possible.
Every Saturday, I turn my phone off and dedicate myself to trying something new with loved ones or myself- that could be a restaurant, experience or place to explore. As a creature of habit, I want to push myself out of my little bubble and live the best life I can.
Peace, love and happiness, BB xxxx
