The Benefits of Eating Raw Foods
A raw food diet is about eating mostly or all unprocessed and uncooked foods so you get all the nutrients without the dangerous additives. Lately, I have been eating about 95% raw to try and reverse the after effects of a bad bout with the flu, and stop aches and pains from a bad accident a couple of years back.
I am certainly not a scientist, but I must say that for me it has certainly helped with getting better sleep, feeling happier and clearing up my skin. The goal of eating more raw foods is to obtain plenty of nutrients in an easy-to-digest manner, one that our bodies are naturally suited for.
Some of the positive effects can include:
- lowering inflammation
- improving digestion
- providing more dietary fiber
- improving heart health
- helping with optimal liver function
- giving you more energy
- clearing up your skin
- preventing nutrient deficiencies
- helping you maintain a healthy body weight
