Ciara's Homemade Ferrero Balls
Oh my....these are some-kind-of awesome!! Made, styled and photographed by my super talented and beautiful friend Ciara, you will find her homemade Ferrero Rocher balls a completely luscious and easy peasy to make vegan indulgence! Perfect for a daytime snack or after-dinner healthy treat!!!! BB xxxx
Ciara's Shopping List
2 cups hazelnuts, toasted with skin and then removed
2 cups pitted dates
1 cup organic raw cacao powder
1 cup vanilla protein powder (eg. Vital Greens)
2 teaspoons Heilala vanilla bean paste
2 tablespoons organic maple syrup
Optional - 1 block of Green & Black's organic dark chocolate
Step 1- Pulse hazelnuts until finely chopped and set aside.
Step 2- Process the dates, cacao, protein powder, vanilla, and maple syrup until combined in a food processor or thermomix.
Step 3- Use damp hands and roll them into balls. Next roll balls in chopped hazelnuts. Store in the fridge or freezer.
Optional - Roll cooled hazelnut coated balls in melted chocolate or simply drizzle on top. Makes approximately 25 balls.
